Hi, I just saw your art process video (which was REALLY neat to see, by the way,) and was wondering what art program that is you're using?
I use Photoshop CS3. I always keep two windows open when I’m working on a file, one of which stays zoomed in to work, while the other remains zoomed out to the resolution the image will be saved at (usually 25 or 50%) so I can see what the final image will look like. You can open up a second window by going to window > arrange > new window for __.psd. My brushes are all custom brushes; the ones I use the most however are incredibly similar to the default photoshop brushes with a few minor tweaks on my end. Shading is done with “multiply” layers; highlights are done with “overlay” layers. I hope that answers any of your questions!
