Bambi’s U-Matic Hell

A story I wrote a short while ago, part of my world called the Xytotonic Future; which will be described in full in my story, The Inevitable Alphabet. This story actually derives from a dream I had in 2006; I hope that you will enjoy…

The Alphabetarians become, on-and-off, obsessed with cartoon characters, which they see as defiant gods and deities over humanity, and thus, a natural and born-true rival to the Alphabetarians and their future reign. For them, I suppose, it’s difficult to tell the difference between flesh-and-blood beings and cartoons. They see cartoons and assume that this must be a recording or photograph of a real creature (just as they have their own “living cartoon animal” servants in the Animalarians and Black Animalarians), and perhaps it enrages them that there is, despite their search of every atom in all of earth and its neighboring satellites, no physical form of these creatures to demolish. So they make their own movies and torture them that way.

When I say “movies,” I don’t of course mean anything shown on celluloid or flickering in some otherwise dark cold room with rows of soggy seats. Rather, these movies are broadcast in waves which emanate out from their positions of unassuming nondescription in the Probotaxazatonian world (for the Alphabetarian’s own world could never support the stability of such an object, while the Probotaxazatonians were too caught up in their or-gies to care about a single tape here or there.

The Romantic Dictionary

The Romantic Dictionary is a small project I’ve been putting together in the past few weeks; lately I’ve really come to realize just how specific my outlook is, and how much unnamed and unspecifiable states can have a severe effect on my mental wellbeing (in both a good and bad way, as even my positive aspects reflect a bit of inner craziness) – just being able to name them, it almost feels like enclosing in a zoo untamed beasts from the wilds. Perhaps “to name a thing, kills a thing”, but, at the same time, I’d rather sit in a hall of skeletons than feel all these monsters ripping at my heels.

Lately I’ve been falling into writing-mode far more than drawing-mode, so I’ll be posting more words than images soon; I’ve realized just how bad my shyness has gotten and how much I cling to the idea that everything I post must be some perfect portfolio-ready art piece, but, because of this strict guideline, 95% of my creative work goes unshared, which is foolish since there are doubtlessly at least a few out there who might be interested in such a thing. Suffice to say I have a lot of hang-ups that I’d like to get over in that regard, thank you endlessly for those who have been oh-so-patient thus far.

I’ve still been hard at work at Strangers, proofreading almost every day (in the hopes of eventually finding others to proofread, as well…if you’re interested and have some sort of English or advanced writing background, let me know via email, please, listed on my sidebar..) but I’ve also been working, in scattered chunks here and there, on other projects…The Inevitable Alphabet is one such story (which describes the Alphabetarians, Probotaxazatonians, Glassheads, Animalarians and other such creatures of their ilk), and of course still compiling notes for The Candidates and Paper Rabbits, my two big projects once Strangers concludes. Today (and other days on and off), in addition to Strangers and the Dictionary, I worked a story called The Subtle Sea (working title only), something that’s more of a traditional love story. Of course “love story” for me is a much sicker affair than all that, once I finish writing it, this might even be my first “adult” story. I’ll happily share any details with anyone interested, just be warned that it includes massively triggering content of an m/m nature.

My project last month was digitally organizing my notes, as well as typing up my handwritten notebooks, which has been very time-consuming…I think writing for me may be a kind of obsessive-compulsive trait for me, I’ve written 2000+ pages since 2009, of course separating the wheat from the chaff takes up more time than does actually typing and organizing…I’ve taken to using the term “structured surrealism” lately for my work, and I think that it fits well…

There will be art soon, though, once the Strangers storenvy opens this fall… just know that I’ve been busy as ever and very ready to share new things.

I posted this on my rarely-used FA account, but forgot to mention it here…this is an adoptable – Cardinal, a fink (one of my species). He lives in a forest lush with red flowers, so many, in fact, that they coat the ground and the trunks of all the white-leaved trees. Although he is quite large, he hides amongst the bushes as he hunts, his lair a mass of skeletons overgrown with these flowers.

Although Cardinal is a fearsome and formidable creature, he does not kill humans or any other intelligent life. While he has a brash and brazen personality, he is not a mindless creature, but spends his time creating limericks and rhyme, which he carves upon the trunks of trees as both guides and warnings to travelers who make their way through his territory.

Of course, if you purchase him, you are not obligated to use the above. If you buy him, you can modify his name, story, design in any way you see fit.

Please contact me via email at felix[at] if you are interested in purchasing him. If you buy him, I will send you a high-res .png file, and you will have full rights to use the design for any personal work, including roleplay, personal writing, artwork, etc, but you cannot claim the design or species as your own, nor make money from it. If you use the design, you don’t need to credit me each and every time you post it, but please don’t claim it as your own.

Cost is 35$ – thank you so much for reading all of this.

To get used to sai I’ve been reconstructing my old traditional pieces as digital ones

experiment 1/?

It’s really beyond me, just how perfect this is… the folds of the bed, the detailing in the face, the composition with that endless black all around- and the way that ambidroni’s eye is so ever-seeing and central to the whole thing. You have a true skill with your painting that I can only hope to achieve someday in my own colors- I’m truly blown away~ thank you endlessly for your interest in the project and for lending your skills to a creature such as this;

a quick drawing for myself, experimenting with a looser/sketchier style. This is a fink, one of my species, this one wearing a suit built to travel through space or outer dimensions. If you look carefully, you can see a heart on the outside of his body; made of metal, this helps regulate his bodily functions against the cold vacuum of the world outside. The words around him are written in one of my fictional languages, which was once called “false ladronari” due to its connection with the Strangers world, but has sort of transcended that universe and appears in several of my other stories, too, so perhaps a rename is in order…

Here is a small preview of what could be a possible Strangers product series- these images would appear on cell phone charms, or pins/buttons.

TOP ROW (left to right): the simdroni [who inhibits communicative and social ability], the gangridrene [whose presence causes flesh to turn gangrenous in living creatures], the condroni [who is filled with brains and absorbs and retransmit radio/TV waves] BOTTOM ROW (left to right): the drosodroni [whose touch causes catatonia], the ladroni [who causes severe nausea], and the haledroni [who seeks out and destroys human forms]

Expect further news relating to Strangers starting this Fall…

Strangers has been in the making since 2008, but is now a realityFelix Kramer’s 55,000 word+ manuscript has been completed, reviewed, and is now officially scheduled for print development and release for summer 2015 via Both Felix and I have been so amazed with the support and feedback the project has received over the years; being able to take it to the next level as a published volume is a dream come true.

Strangers is an illustrated prose project revolving around fictional entities that straddle the line between humans, animals, inanimate objects, and natural phenomenon. This edition will be released next summer as a hardbound physical volume, and wide digital release as an e-book. In the interim, you can expect to see other exclusive media as we begin leading up to spring pre-orders.

After quite a long period of silence, we are so overjoyed to officially announce the next phase of the Strangers project. Thank you so much for those who have expressed interest in and supported Strangers thus far- there is so much more in the works, which you’ll start to see more news of this fall, leading up to the aforementioned Summer 2015 release. Keep your eyes open for lots of new things to come!

"The Sixteen Lesser Saints" is a collaborative project that a friend and I put together last spring – it kind of sat in limbo for a while, but this week, I put the final touch-ups on the art/bios and coded a website for them… just a small project, but one that I hope you enjoy (plus, it feels nice to finally scratch something off on my “to-do” list).
